Diagnostic Tests - Treatments

Most of the tests listed on both adults and children.

  • Refraction: Measurement of refractive errors of the eye (myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, presbyopia) prescription of glasses and contact lenses.
  • Check disorders of the eyelids and anterior segment of the eye.
  • Preoperative control for cataract.
  • Orthoptic study: Study of the mobility of the eyes for any disruption and monitoring of diplopia.
  • Hess Screen: For control and monitoring of diplopia.
  • Tonometry: Measurement of intraocular pressure or tonometric curve (multiple measurements during one or more days).
  • Pachymetry: Measurement of corneal thickness, so useful in the study of glaucoma and in the preoperative evaluation of the cornea where refraction surgery (PRK, LASIK)
  • Glaucoma Study: Includes many tests (some already mentioned) such as: Tonometry, tonometriki curve, pachymetry, gonioskopia, automatic perimetry (visual field), OCT of the head of the optic nerve.
  • Fields of vision: Control of visual field and photo-sensitivity of the retina. It is necessary to examine glafkomatikous and neurological patients.
  • Topography Keratron: Topographic evaluation of the anterior corneal surface with software for calculating corneal aberrations (corneal wavefront). Consideration useful both in assessing refractive, diagnosing and monitoring diseases of the cornea and in the preoperative evaluation of the corneal refractive surgery. For more click here.
  • Check the quantity and quality assessment of the tearing layer: It is in contact lens wearers, and in cases of dry eye in the preoperative control for the surgical correction of refractive errors, laser and includes: 1. Break Up Time years of breaking the lacrimal film (using fluorosceine), 2. volume Schirmer test, 3. ogkometriko Schirmer test - variation in Jones, 4. variation in the Royer Schirmer - Jones test, 5. stained with ROSE DU BENGAL
  • Check compatibility of tearing drainage channels.
  • 3D spectral OCT Copernicus: Optical coherence tomography with three-dimensional imaging, high speed and high resolution. It is from 50 to 100 times faster than the previous generation OCT. Used to assess macular degeneration of the optic nerve head and perithilaias region. For more click here.
  • Fundoscopy (direct and indirect): Check the bottom of the eye (retina, vitreous, optic nerve, macula).
  • Flouri-angiography: Evaluation of the retinal and choroidal (the vascular tunic beneath the retina).
  • Exofthalmometrisi: Measuring the degree of prolapse of the eye. Used in the evaluation of thyroid whereby gross, trauma and tumors of the orbit.
  • Color vision test (Ishihara test): For the diagnosis of dyschromatopsias, and the qualitative assessment of optic nerve diseases (optic neuritis, thyroid optikopatheia).
  • Application of contact lenses: It shall apply contact lenses frequent or chronic replacement for the correction of myopia, hypermetropia, astigmatism of (torikoi lenses), multifocal to correct presbyopia and colored mainly for aesthetic reasons.
  • Botox and Hyaluronic Acid: Treatment of blepharospasm and aesthetic disturbances in the wider area of the eyelid.
  • Diode Laser: Treatment of certain diseases of the seabed and advanced glafkomatikon disease.
  • Micro-surgery: Surgery not needed surgery organized clinical conditions.
