The clinic began on March 1, 1995 upon completion of my education in "The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School" and the "Athens University Eye Clinic" from where I gained the title of the specialty. From 1993 until February 1995 I was a mentor for medical students in the 5th year. From March 1995 until June 2000 I participated in a training program for medical students as an associate of the University Clinic on paediatric ophthalmology - strabismus and physicians, specialising in ophthalmology, in cooperation with the Greek Ophthalmological Society. Keeping my scientific ties in the U.S., each year I participate in the work of the American Academy of Ophthalmology of which I am an international member.
I would very humbly like to express my gratitude to my professors in the University Eye Clinic, particularly in G. Theodosiadis, E. Iliakis, E. Cheimonidou, D. Andreanos, J. Vergados, S.
